About the School

Scoil Cholmcille, Greencastle promotes the holistic development of the child including academic, physical, moral, emotional, spiritual, aesthetic, cultual, social and personal development and thereby enabling the child to see themselves as a unique individual who presents themselves as an active and responsible citizen in society.

PATRONAGE

Scoil Cholmcille is under the Patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Derry. We identify as a Catholic school and strive to ensure a Catholic ethos permeates all aspects of school life.  As a formal agent of education within the Catholic Community, the school models and transmits a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The school aims at promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the pupil, including his/her relationship with God, with other people and with the environment.
