A reminder that school will be closed on Tuesday 8th of October to facilitate teacher training for the new primary language curriculum.

Goal Jersey day will take place on Friday the 11th of October. All children are invited to wear a Jersey on the day and to make a small contribution towards a great cause.

Thank you to everyone who helped to support our Aldi sticker collection campaign for a chance of winning €50,000. We have completed one poster already and are already onto our second one. Please continue to send any stickers in with your child.

The road of hope Christmas shoebox appeal 2019 is now launched. We ask that any family interested can put together a shoebox of small gifts with €4 (for delivery) and leave it to the school by Monday 4th of November.  For ideas on what to put into each box visit, teamhope.ie.

Our boys soccer team have commenced the Inishowen Primary Schools League. We look forward to unearthing some new talent and we hope to see as many parents attending the matches as possible. All support is welcomed and means a lot to the children. Any parent who is willing to help out in any way is more than welcome to.

Our annual 5k fun run/walk will take place on Saturday 19th of October. We look forward to your support for this fantastic event. Let’s hope that the weather will behave itself this year. Anyone available to help please contact Michelle Cavanagh.

Again a reminder that attendance is very important at school and it is vital that your child comes to school on time and with all the correct equipment. Please notify the school if your child is absent and remember, every day counts!!!

Please note that if there are any changes to collection arrangements for your child please let their class teacher know. It is vital that teachers know with whom your child is to be collected by.

John Gibbons continues to work with the children in the school for GAA. This week sees him finish his first spell with the Ms Lynch’s infants. John has commented on their fantastic listening skills. Well done boys and girls.

Maths week will take place from 12th-20th of October. We will look forward to doing some extra cool maths lessons in school. We invite all children to dress up for number day on Friday 18th October.

Remember, school closes for midterm on Friday the 25th of October at 3pm and will reopen on Monday the 4th of November. Children will be allowed to dress up for Halloween on Friday 25th October!!
