A reminder that school will be closed on Thursday 12th of October to facilitate teacher training for the new language curriculum. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Goal Jersey day will take place on Friday the 13th of October. All children are asked to wear a Jersey on the day and to make a small contribution towards a great cause.

A massive thanks to all parents who have put so much effort into organising this weekend’s 5km fun run/walk. We urge as many children and families to take part for such a good cause. All monies gathered will go towards making your child’s educational experience a better one. Remember all children who take part will receive a homework pass. Just bring in your race number as evidence!!!! Registration from 12 noon. Race starts at 2pm.

You can also follow us on twitter on @scoilcc86. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Our boys soccer team will commence the Inishowen Primary Schools League 2017/18 next week. We look forward to unearthing some new talent and we hope to see as many parents attending the matches as possible. All support is welcomed and means a lot to the children. Any parent who can help with lifts to games please contact the school.

Again a reminder that attendance is very important at school and it is vital that your child comes to school on time and with all the correct equipment. Please notify the school if your child is absent and remember, every day counts!!! _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Please note that if there is any changes to collection arrangements for your child please let their class teacher know. It is vital that teachers know with whom your child is to be collected by. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
John Gibbons continues to work with the children in the school for GAA. This week sees him finish his first spell with the infants. John has commented on their fantastic listening skills. Well done boys and girls. John will be working with 1st and 2nd class for the next 4 weeks. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Maths week will take place from 16th-20th of October. We will look forward to doing some extra cool maths lessons in school. We invite all children to dress up for number day on Friday 20th October. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Remember, school closes for midterm on Friday the 27th of October at 3pm and will reopen on Monday the 6th of November. Children will be allowed to dress up for Halloween on Friday 27th October!!
