The dates for the Christmas plays are as follows; Junior and Senior infants will perform A king is Born on Tuesday 19th December at 11.30am. 1st and 2nd class will be performing Away with the Manger on Wednesday 20th December at 1pm.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Road to Hope Shoe Box appeal. Over 60 boxes were donated. We are now holding our annual SVP collection. All donations of non-perishable food, clothes and unwanted parcels are welcome.

Tickets for the children’s draw are available from the office. Once again the prizes are very attractive. A massive thanks to all the local businesses who donated prizes. Tickets are available from Caroline in the office €1 per ticket or €5 for 6. A reminder that all draw cards are to be returned by Wednesday 6th December.

The Christmas fair takes place on Friday 8th of December at the Fisheries College. This represents a very enjoyable social event and one which the parents’ association put a lot of work into. We hope to see you all there! Doors open at 6pm.

The children from Scoil Cholmcille are performing at the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights in Greencastle on Friday the 8th at 7pm. Siobhan Phillips has kindly given up her time to work with the children and they are sounding great. Thanks Siobhan. We ask all children taking part in the choir on the night to gather in the village at 6.45pm.

Thanks to all parents who attended the parents’ evening. Anyone who could not attend are free to contact their child’s teacher to arrange an alternative appointment.

A reminder that school will close at 12.00 noon on Friday 22nd of December for the Christmas holidays and reopen on Monday January 8th.

French lessons for children from 2nd to 6th will continue after school from3pm-4pm on Mondays until Christmas break. Anyone who is interested but has not signed up can contact the office for more details.

Anyone who missed our photographer Billy Doherty don’t worry! Billy will be back in school to take more photos before the year is out.  A date will be confirmed shortly and you will be notified by text. Let your class teacher know if you wish your child to have their photograph taken.

Swimming for 3rd– 6th class will commence in the new year. Unfortunately, due to insurance changes within Derry/Strabane council there will be no swimming for 1st or 2nd class children.
