World book day in Ireland will take place on Thursday 7th of March. The scholastic book fair will run from Thursday 7th of March to Tuesday 12th. More details to follow shortly.

Well done to both the credit union quiz team and the Battle of the Books team who represented the school so brilliantly in the last few weeks. The Battle of the Books team came first while our Credit Union quiz team were narrow runners up. Well done and thanks to Ms Lynch for preparing both teams so brilliantly.

Swimming continues for 5th and 6th class on Wednesday mornings. Please note a change of start and end dates for swimming. 5th and 6th class will finish their sessions on Wednesday 6th of March. 2nd class will begin their block on Wednesday 13th of March. Letters and permissions slips will go out to 2nd class children shortly.

The girls’ soccer team began their Inishowen 6-a-side league campaign last week with a fantastic win. We wish them all the best in their remaining fixtures and we are sure they will do us proud. Any parents willing to help out please contact myself or Caroline in the office.

John Gibbons and Tony Mc Geady continue to take GAA on Friday mornings. If your child is doing GAA on Friday mornings, please ensure that they are wearing suitable footwear.

A reminder that the school will have an open night for children and parents hoping to enrol in Junior Infants in September 2019 tomorrow night, Tuesday 19th at 6pm.

Fergus and Gemma Mc Daid from cycling Ireland continue to work with the children on their cycling skills. They will begin work with Infants on the 1st of March. Permission slips will be issued shortly.
