NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2018

Welcome back to what will be a busy half term in the run up to Christmas. This year the 3rd and 4th class and 5th and 6th class will be taking part in the Christmas plays. The 3rd and 4th class performance will take place on Tuesday 11th of December and 5th and 6th class will perform on Thursday 13th of December. Both performances will take place at 1pm.

Please ensure that all contact details are up to date. If you have changed mobile number or your emergency contact details/arrangements change, please let Caroline know in the office. Up to date contact details are vital in case of emergencies.

Parents evening will take place on Tuesday 20t

h of November. Please note that school will end at 2.45pm on that day in order for teachers to organise themselves to get the parents evening up and running quickly. Timeslots for parents evening will be issued shortly. If times do not suit, please contact your child’s teacher and we will do our best to accommodate you at a different time or date.

A reminder that our school website is now active. We ask that all shoeboxes be in school for Friday 9th of November. Don’t forget to attach £2(sterling) to your box for postage and packaging. This year the parents association are organising a Christmas Family fun Tea Party in Greencastle Community Centre on Sunday 9th of December. There will be Carol Singing as well as face painting and Christmas craft making and many other fun activities for the children.   Anyone wishing to help out in any way please contact Michelle Cavanagh.

Please note that if there are any changes to collection arrangements for your child please let your child’s class teacher know. It is vital that teachers know with whom your child is to be collected by.

Swimming lessons will commence for children in 2nd-6th class in the new year. Details will follow in the December newsletter.

Remember, school closes for Christmas holidays at 12.30pm on Friday 21st of December. Please note that this is a half day. School will reopen on Monday 7th of January.
